About QUANTEC Radiation
Advancing radiation oncology through evidence-based toxicity risk metrics and clinical research.
Our History
The original QUANTEC (Quantitative Analyses of Normal Tissue Effects in the Clinic) project was a landmark initiative in radiation oncology. It summarized the three-dimensional dose/volume/outcome data available at the time in order to update and refine the normal tissue dose/volume tolerance guidelines set out in the classic Emami et al. paper of 1991.
Building upon this foundation, QUANTEC Radiation continues this important work by maintaining, updating, and expanding these critical resources for the modern era of radiation therapy.
